DEMO - FROM A WINDOW SEAT

Here are some observations upon hearing this again for the first time

Recorded within days of it being written. It felt so left field for me at the time, I didn’t know if I liked it. I was just so desperate for anything that I had to make sure I finished it and ended the drought. 

Here are some observations upon hearing this again for the first time 

• I sound like I have a cold

• I was in a very heavy Joni Mitchell phase (fun fact - I think all of the writing for Stories Don’t End was deeply influenced mostly by Joni and Willie)

• I like that first instrumental break being after the first chorus instead of the second. It’s probably better how it is now but it was my attempt at having a Court and Spark moment 

• The little figure between the second chorus and the bridge is nice to hear - I didn’t remember it at all

• I had to practice that guitar pattern a thousand times before I was ready to record this demo
