Fortress

An old song from the AYFB writing sessions that I had more or less forgotten about.

Alright. Gonna ease in to telling some of the stories behind All Your Favorite Bands with this demo of a song that didn’t make the cut. We sat with our producer Dave Rawlings and tried to make it work but we couldn’t quite get it to fit with everything else we had going. Just a long metaphor for a guy scared of letting anyone into his emotional interior life, which is very much who I was at the time.

So in the spirit of balancing out the long lengths of the recent posts, I’m going to keep this one brief and keep the conversation going in the comments if anyone has any thoughts or questions.
